i have an 89 crx si with an a6/y8 mini me swap. pm6 ecu with 1 wire vtec. the car will just die while im driving. like on the highway, ill be going...then the i can feel the car lose power. as soon as it dies it'll start right back up. sometimes it will be fine, and sometimes it will die 5-10 times back to back. i have no clue whats goin on with it, so any help would be appreciated. thanks

 

Sounds like fuel filter is plugged up. If you haven't replaced it I would start there.
You could check the fuel pressure 1st but a filter is only $10 and 15 minutes to try.

Take off the distributor cap and check the rotor & cap.....
Also might want to take off the distributor itself, give it a twist by hand to make sure the bearing isn't binding.

brand new battery and fuel filter installed... and.......still dies! anymore ideas?

 

the other day i gunned it in first, and half way through the gear it felt like i slammed into a wall. its like it hit a rev limiter, then i had to wait for the revs to drop, then restart it. it started right back up. i dont get it.

Make sure battery terminals arent touching any metal.....
