I just installed a Walbro fuel pump into my civic, getting ready for the swap.....

Went pretty well, but the passenger side strap came out from the front.

I kinda jammed it back in that hole but it popped out again just as the tank was almost all the way back up.

Can the strap be replaced/reset with the gas tank in place or do I have to lower it again? How exactly is it held in place? It was dark & POURING outside so I got fed up and left it...... Thanks!

 

Anyone know the proper technique when inserting the end of the strap that's towards the front of the car? Slide it up and in?? Down and in??

 

if i remember correctly, you slide the strap in and pull it back, its a T and you tighten up the bolt on the strap for the adjustment.
