But I will agree, easy to use and makes life so simple. Too bad I don't own one.

I got one for sale if interested- used it for 3 months, and sadly am departing with it. $250.

I use the girlfriend(TM) turbo timer, while I go get the tickets for the movie she stays in the car and counts to 60 at which point she turns the key in the ignition to off position. I also have the profec B works mint.

Hahaha, I used to do the same thing. I was without a turbo timer for about a week or so after I got my turbo. I would sit and count down before I shut the car off. At times, my buddy would shout out numbers to try and mess me up.
Me? i beat the hell out of my car and turn it right off. Maybe thats because i got my turbo for $11.00
I think i'm looking for excuses to get a nice 3/4

My turbo timer is wraped around my wrist, it pretty much does the same as a real one would, no boost controler, that wouldnt be a very good idea for me. Boost kills
Guy, just get the Jo-self (TM) Turbo timer/Boost controller... it's cheaper than the Girlfriend (TM) model and doesn't give you as much grief !
The only downside is that it does not take well to lowering boost...

I installed a profec b for the first time in my friends car the other day.
compared to the AVC-R install in my car.... this profec b is a walk in the park! And adjusting boost is very simple. MBC-like!

I was planning on using to "jo-self" model turbo timer, i was just checking up on your opinions. As for the boost controller, i think i will save myself the money and stick with manual for now. Thanks for the input.
i used the girlfriend(tm) turbo timer too!!! Except my version wouldnt turn off the car. I would say "wait here, ill be back in 5 mins." And she would guard my ****.
So basically i used the Jo-self model.
Since I dont have a TT yet, what is the average time to count down?

i am hoping that a water cooled center housing on my turbo will negate the need for a turbo timer. needless to say i wont beat the crap out of my car then turn it off anyhow...
If you want a boost controller that will make your motor go "bang" for a buck, try one of those home made ones that everyone seems to think are such a great idea.
What do you think about turboxs manual boost contoller's especially the high performance one. They are like $130 or so..
i got one for my car and now 2 weeks later, im getting rid of it and buying an electric one. take it from me, just buy the profec b and be done with it
You don't really need to turbo timer the car if you drive it normal for a short period of time.
But if its a long drive or you drive it hard, then I turbo timer it.
