Turbo Timer, necessary on low boost???
I've been reading up on the turbo timers available, and are they really necessary for low boost (~6psi) on a d16a6 engine? What is the real point of them, just to shut off your fan after the car has been shut down to cool down the turbo...Seems that can be done by just letting the car idle for a few mins when I get home...

it is not about the boost. you engine will get hotter as your run it harder, so it give it time to cool down. it also give your turbo time to slow down. after a hard run it is spinning pretty fast.
edit: well if you boost more it will spin more so yeah it does matter. either way i am only boost 5psi and for $127 this is cheap insurance.
