Engine swap for 91 hatch

I jus bought a clean 91 hatch with engine rebuilt, and its s sohc but i want a dohc vtec. I was thinking about a b16 but whats a better engine or is a b16 good enough?

b16 is a good place to start, you can always build it up from there.

What should i do with the Sohc engine and the 4sp tranny? should i keep for spare parts or should i sell it?, its perfectly clean infact at this moment the engine is getting rebuilt due to heads problem.

any1 know where the best place to buy a b16(a2) complete package? trans, motor, shift linkages, etc. i was also wondering will the a1's fit into the eg's? sorry for gettin off topic.
