I replaced the bum starter last night, (the yard I got it from replaced it for free..) topped off the fluids, put on some new radiator hoses (b18b hoses tightened down alot on the si radiator), and double checked all my connections. Told my fiance to watch for flames and turned the key.....nothing but a puff of smoke from the + term. on the battery. Got out, had Hannah start it...no lights this time...played with the + terminal, lights, turn key...nada. I was destroyed. I tightened down the + cable once more, and was gonna call it a night and Hannah asked if she should try it once more...I just shrugged. Brrrrrrrrrraaaaaaa...Fired right up! and did so 4 more times! I had to leave for band practice so I didnt get a chance to check for codes, but heres what I have for now. Its idiling at about 2300-2600rpm, Im running only a header at this point, because the downpipe ends about 10' short of the cat. Could this cause a high idle? The engine only has 35k on it. Could it be the thermostat? Any other ideas? Ill take some pictures tonight and post them for ya!

pull the codes, no guess untill that is done. Do you have any vaccume leaks ?

 

Could be as simple as a tight throttle cable too. Let it idle and see what happens.
