Default Autozone wouldn't help my ***!

I went to Autozone and had my ECU checked cause the light was still on and still getting BAD mpg... after doing a tuneup on my '97 LX........

On the print out it shows that I have codes P0170 , and P0171. Something about bank 1 is too lean and compensation value exceeded.

So, I asked if I needed an o2 sensor.....and they don't know. So I asked which sensor they thought could be bad.....they don't know. WTF!

I don't wanna go to Honda Dealership for $95 to find out whats wrong.

What do yall think ???

Pull your plugs to see what's really wrong, they won't lie. Then change your 02 sensor.

have you gone over 150K miles? If not your car is still under the emissions warranty. The dealer WILL do the work for free.

i work at autozone. we suck. well i dont, but most of the guys there do. thats why they work at autozone for $8 an hour instead of at a shop working on cars.

but you get what you pay for.

go to a shop and ask them to scan your code and tell you whats wrong.

stop being cheap and figure it out.

if you dont know whats wrong with your car why should we? wtf.

well I have mitchell on demand here at home and I ran your car in it to see what the codes were. There isn't a p0170 for the lx. just p0171(lean) and p0172(rich).
Heres what it says for p0171

1. If DTC P0171 (system to lean) is set, check for:

*Insufficient fuel pump flow or pressure.
*clogged or leaking fuel feed line.
*fuel pressure regulator stuck open.
*clogged fuel filter
*clogged or air blocked fuel injector
*fuel octane level less than specification
*a deteriorated H02S-1
*MAP sensor range/performance
*Excessive EGR system flow
*proper valve adjustment
*an exhaust system leak
Repair as necessary. If no problems are found, go to step 3

thats pretty much it. Step 3 was just checking the fuel pressure and the fuel pump and all the fuel stuff. And HO2S-1 is the front o2 sensor.
