Default o2 Sensor is gone bad, suggestions for replacement?!

Just want to know if it matters if I get an ODB I civic one or prelude one.
And if you know of any good places to get replacements.

The harness is currently ODB I. And I am getting an intermitant O2 CEL after driving around once the car has warmed up a lil. CEL goes away once engine is restarted though..

Thanks in advance.

Any OBD Honda O2 sensor will work. They are universal.

I would personally jump on an OEM Honda HX/VX wideband O2 sensor.

I'm pretty sure that your was $75.00 because it is a universal O2 sensor. I was told to buy the OEM replace and not a universal one. I can't remember why, but maybe poison can answer that question.

Brandon what do you think?

Wideband has a broader range. Gives more accurate readings....

if yiou run the wideband do you need any changes to the ECUs programming or will it read that range of voltage and interprut it correctly ? the VX/HX had the wideband but will a P13 support such hardware?

yeah thats how much it was really was and plus i couldn't wait to drive the H22- EH2. i didn't want to order online and have to wait 3-5 days or so for it to get here. i just bought because it was already here and wanted to drive it after everything was done on the h22 swap.

I bought the oem replacement walker oxygen sensor off oxygensensor.com. It was like $77 shipped. All I had to do was plug it in.

I know it's a cheap replacement, but I have been reading that those cheap replacements, like bosch and walker, do not hold up for long and burn out after as little as 7k miles or so. It might be worth it to buy a new oem one, or find a used oem one w/ low mileage on it.

Mine works fine, as far as I know, but I did notice that my gas mileage didn't change when I replace the 02 sensor(the one that came w/ my swap wasn't bad, but I thought a brand new 02 would help) and it has gone slightly down actually after having it in for 4 months now. Could be the way I drive though or other factors...

That is the funny thing about o2s.. I probably wouldnt even think mine is bad if I didnt have the A/f gauge and the CEL come on everynow and again. I can see that after the engine has warmed up though it doesnt do anything after that so I figure better to replace it from now..

Yep, reason being is because (I haven't seen from others around here or not), but a few people I've came across purchased cheap *** Bosch O2 sensors. They withstand good heatrange and can actually withstand leaded gas and methonal too (for some reason), but don't go out like OEM ones. Bosch O2 sensors aren't bad, but let's just say I`ve seen people replace them more than they need to.

Over a while I have seen OE Honda (which I believe is Denso O2 sensors) last a lot longer.

On another note, wideband O2's like HX and VX sensors allow you to tune A/F ratios more accurately like putting it on a dyno. And it's nice to see that OE Honda came with some on the VX and HX.
