Default old school racers - need info on dinosaur NA engine

I am putting an engine together for a customer who finally got his block back from the "old" RS machine people. He sent it in to be freshened up a year or two ago evidentally during the $hitstorm that went down there. Anyways, long story short, the block is back and is finally assembled.

Some of the old school NA guys may remember the "B22" engines RS did, well this is one of them. Its an LS block with the large deck plate. My question is, does anyone know what head studs to use? From what I can tell so far they arent metric thread anymore. I can get my local parts store to find a timing belt that will work but if you happen to know an application that works well, don't hesitate to let me know. Thanks for your time

Is that Jeremy Lally's (sp) motor? I remember that Car at BOTI like 3-4 years ago with a Monster Deckplate on it.

yes it is Lallys engine, its been down forever. Like I said he finally got it back and we're trying to get it ready for the NDRA race in St Louis.

Concerning the belt is wasnt using an offset water pump pulley before.

bill could it be 1/2in headstuds? i know geoff had to upgrade to 1/2in headstuds from the std 7/16.

what happened to the original studs? were they just lost in all the engine transitions from shop to shop?

yes along with a lot of other items that he sent back with the engine Ive tried several standard size studs but cannot get a couple of thread pitch options lined out. I'll figure it out just curious if anyone knew anything in the meantime, clock is ticking on this one.

On a LS motor the center bolt is longer then the rest. I think its a set you have to order that is basicly all LS center bolts. The stud should be 8 inches long...

that would probably be the correct length but it looks like rs has tapped it for standard threads its no longer a honda thread because we tried threading gsr studs in and they wont start
