Default Changing Brakes out. EBC Green Stuff or HAWK HPS street pads

Like the subject says, which would be better for Daily Driving? I do some autocrossing every now and then, but don't want to have to replace pads just for track events. The car needs new pads and I figured why not get better pads and do the stainless steel lines also. So, anyone have any input on this, any help would be great

EBC = junk.

Hawk HP+ is really nice for auto-x, and they are generally pretty quiet. HPS is a step below this, and is closer to an OEM replacement.

HP+ is still not suitable for the track though. Really, there is no pad that can go b/w street and track without compromises on one or the other.

of the two, I'd not recommend ebc due to comments made here and in the competition forums. I was condiering th hawks, when I was looking fr pads, but instead went with axxis ultimate pads from carbotech.

I was looking for a street pad which would be able to take mountain driving daily with maybe an auto-x thrown in 1-2 times year. when I called carbotech, I had every intention of buying some panther plus pads, but after talking with Larry, the owner, he recommended buying the ultimates for my use which saved my $30-50 and got me a better matched pad for my use.

ultimates have been great. much better than the stock ITR pad, but dusts more. If I were you I'd call http://www.carbotecheng.com and give them a call to discuss your pad needs and see what they come up with.

good luck.

Well if your choosing between EBC or Hawk go with Hawk.

If you want good stopping power go with blues compound but you will get alot brake dust and squeals when pads are below temp. ratings

I would suggest the HP+ best for street and can be used for autox or a lapping day.

I can supply these along with Ferodo Racing or Mintex pads as well. All Hawk and Ferodo and Mintex and AP racing pads we offer can be broken end normally and so you will not have to brake them in yourself though this is at extra cost.
We can also supply pads from Endless, Spoon, Mugen, RSR, GLAD and may other popular Japanese companies.
