Default Which size T3/T4 turbo for B18B, 18 psi, around 320-375 HP?

What size T3/T4 turbo should I get for my built B18B? I want to make at least 320 HP and I would like to start boosting around 3000-3500 RPM and see full boost around 6000-7000 RPM. I was looking at a .63 trim, but I think the lag will be a good bit more than what I want. I would really like to know from people with experience with each size turbo. Thanks in advance.

I had a .63ar 57trim on a B18A. It made 10psi by 4K rpm with an open downpipe

t3/t04e 57trim made 350+ @15psi for me........and it could have made closer to 400whp if i had a real exhaust system........

I would recommend these specs:

T3/T04 "E" compressor housing turbo
57 - 60 trim compressor wheel
.63 exhaust housing
Stage 3 or 5 exhaust wheel
3" downpipe
3" test pipe
3" exhaust

This turbo and exhaust system configuation will give you quick spool up and will flow enough air to support your HP requirements. If you can get a 60 or 61 trim compressor wheel, you will be able to make more HP at lower boost levels.

Ok cool. I am planning on keeping A/C and P/S. Will a 3" DP affect these at all?

So does anyone know if I will be able to use a 3" downpipe with A/C and P/S? The B18B will be going in a 97 Civic.

57 trim, very good turbo for what you want.

with the 3" exhaust system you should see full boost before 5k rpms

57 trim .63 is a good choice as others have stated. you may just need to have someone fab you up a 3" for that, it will need to be tight radius but it is possible.

Anybody know of a 3" dp that allows for ac and ps? if not, does anyone have any pics of custom dp's?

Could I get a RevHard manifold and then buy the Downpipe from Spoolin Performance? Would the dimensions still be the same? Cause I just can't see spending $650 on the manifold.

How much of a difference in spool time and power is it between a 2.5" and 3" Downpipe?

I would get the .57 trim T3/To4E .60, .63, if you want a little more pull up top and laggier than get the .60 trim. Should easily meet your power goals and will be in good power range.

prob not much of a difference in 3" DP compared to 2.5" . I have a 3" DP and exhaust but at one point it has a dent making it almost 2.5" , I still made really good power on the b18b.

all my setup was custom. but worth it, made real good power at a conservative tune and still there is room to grow
