License plate
Hi guys i was just wondering if i took off the licence plate on the exterior of my car and put it towards the dashboard would it be illegal and could i be pulled over thanks.
if the state you live in requires a front liscense plate, and there isn't one mounted to your front bumper (regardless if it is in the winshield or not) you will get a ticket (or possibly just a warning).

If a cop pulls you over (in Cali) for your license plate being in your interior, behind your windshield, you will only get a fix-it ticket...at first! They say that there cannot be anything blocking the plate from outside, and since the window is there, that is considered "blocking" it. Grr...
in WA my brother just got a ticket for it and it was like $70, no warning or anything (and he drives a chevy truck). I've been pulled over for it, but just given a warning.
