getting code 67 for having no cat? what to do?
I recently purchased a 02 type s and 3 days after driving it around the check engine light came on. When i jumped the service connector to get the code it was #67 which stands for "catalytic converter below threshold.." or something.
I jacked up the car and lo and behold in place of a cat is a test pipe.
Now the car doesn't seem to have any ill performance effects because of it but is their anything like an o2 sim or something i can do to get rid of the light
( I tried the ecu reset)
thanks

diy o2 sims, go to auot zone and get the 18mm spark plug non-fouler. theres a DIY on ephatch.com or k-series.com you might want to take a look. the tin foil sounds half assed. do it the right way the first way.

right, the first one isnt throwing any codes and should be kept in.
