What rear sway are you guys using?
There isnt much of a market out there for our cars but i wanted to know what rear sway bars you guys are using how do you like them? How much were they?
thanks
thanks
I heard alot of people dont use the front creats alot of under stear. What do you think of yours, and how much did you get yours for, and where from?
thanks
thanks
yeah thats true.. After removing it I noticed a huge difference in understeer. It tends to be a little too tight but works great at the track with some sticky tires. I take them off when daily driving, but at the track it helps believe it or not.
you can order from their website, all their prices are there. http://www.energysuspension.com

uh.... energy suspensions doenst make swaybars...
suspension techniques makes swaybars. probably the more common, because they supply their own bracket for non si chassis.
i completely dont recommend getting the front bar, 22mm solid is way too thick. and yeah, some ppl would prefer to lower the strength of the front bar with an HF bar which is thinner and hollow.
i use a 19mm solid sedan bar front, and 22mm mugen rear bar. both fit like stock.

I made a rear sub frame support and used the rear bar off a 99 SiR (Canadian).
Can't remember the size but it is much stiffer that the one they make for our cars. I find it works quite well with the stock front bar (89 DX)

that would be nice, except it doesnt solve the issue with mounting it to the chassis.

Tyson, how's the Mugen compare to ST in stiffness and weight?
I know the ST is just about 12lbs more than stock and lots of people run with it on full soft... you've probably seen my posts about stiffening the Stock CRX bar, because I'm kinda wondering if there's somethiing lighter I could be using.

its obviously heavier than stock but doesnt require any special bracket or endlink like the ST boat anchors. i never compared to ST. i had something similar to ST itself, i was glad to replace it with my mugen.
intrax and neuspeed makes 22mm rear swaybars that are direct fit. tanabe i hear makes a direct fit thats also lighter than normal. lastly, ST makes a DA rear swaybar thats direct fit, 19mm. might be worth looking into as well.
i just received a SiR rear swaybar. it should be 18mm. havent gotten it out of the box yet to confirm. why do i have it? dunno, ijust like collecting junk...

I have a DA front bar with Energy Suspension endlinks and a ST rear bar at the stiffest setting.
The car is pretty neutral and well balanced. It's very predictable on the street but on the autocross course it seems I understeer a bit more than I would like. Maybe it's my driving, I don't know. I think I'm going to try removing the DA front bar for the next event and run with just the ST rear on full stiff. Hopefully that brings the *** end around the cones a little better.

The rear endlinks are heim joints. What do u mean by coming loose? My original pieces developed play in the joint themselves, so i replaced them with higher grade stuff.

I made my own brackets to fit a DA sway bar with DA LCA's on my DX. I took it off just before getting my ksports and to be honest I dont miss it.

How was the camber with those LCA's?? No difference?
