well here goes, since i got my car my vtec hasnt been working, im running a code 21 "vtec etc etc" but i also have that code with a p06 which is impossible since it aint a vtec comp, anywho its a 2000 d16y8 changed to obd1, and now running a p28, i get the same code "21" with vtec or non vtec comps, and my vtec isnt working, now what could the problem? also im using a d15b7 dizzy, i was told theres no dif between vtec or non vtec distributers, but i was wondering, and also theres a sensor on the side of my intake runner that isnt plugged, what is it and will comp not activate vtec without it ? guy told me its only obd2b, anywho any help would be nice thx

 

did it work fine with the obd2 ecu?

 

no clue, the guy i bought the moter off said it did but i didnt get a ride in it, might of not but i beleive it did, guy was preatty old to lie., is it possible my p06 gives me a 21 cuz its chipped nad the 21 is a actrual possible code
