you have a larger stock front bar than the one that comes in the ST kit, "upgrading" wont do you any good.

the rear on the other hand is a 19mm vs your 13mm stock, which will be a nice increase. i dont know how strong the SI subframe is compared to the other civic subframes of that year, though iirc the only reinforced ones were the itr and ctr. if that is the case, then 19mm would be borderline requiring a reinforcement kit. beaks should be fine. ASR however, on an ek chassis, sticks too far off the subframe for the sway bar to clear the shock bodies. i cant speak for a comptech piece, but the ST does not fit with an ASR brace on an ek/em1.

as far as other options, the ITR 22mm rear bar is one of the most tested and all-purpose addons for eg/dc/ek etc chassis.
Im running a Blox 21mm bar with the asr brace, switched bars after finding the ST didnt fit (the hard way)

what are you running as far as shocks/springs and tires as well?

i got stock blown struts, i found the springs on the floor of my shop, and im running on way to big snow tires, on steelies.

it wasnt always this way but i was broke and sold my old stuff for school.

now i got some cash flow back and wanna do it right again.

before i had koni yellows w/ h&r springs, 16x7 nippons with bfg g forces sports in 205/45r16.

id really rather not just uprgrade the front, i dont know if you've driven an si, but the *** end already like to come out on it.

as for struts/sprins, i was considering the koni adjustable kit, i can get it at cost from my job.

wheels im still searching for, but gonna be swapping out the steelies for some swirlies with kumho's temporarily.

My '99 Si had bad understeer. I put a Mugen 24mm rear bar with a Beak's kit (EM1's have paper thin rear subframes) on it and have been very happy with it. Your stock front bar is already huge, I'd leave it alone.

I don't suppose that you have Energy Suspension trailing arm bushings?

whats your current tire situation? sticky tires in the front and all-seasons in the back will loosen the back quite a bit

and as rmcdaniels mentioned, keep the front bar, thats about as big as youll likely find.

i dont know of a single person unhappy with a koni setup, so i think that should do well for you. what are you thinking as far as spring rates?

you mentioned that you went from H&Rs to stock. Did you get an alignment after? Incorrect rear to could be the cause of the oversteering issue (if you wan to to call it that ). I drive a 99 DX Coupe with no front sway and a rear ITR and it oversteers bit, with the ITR bar removed it is neutral to understeer.
