yeah, your car is OBD2a, so youll need an OBD2a-OBD1 conversion harness. Your also gonna need a 99 - 00 civic Si rear motor mount, Del Sol radiator hoses, obd2 injectors, obd2 ditzy, and some other crap i cant think of this early in the morning.

He just said he has no wiring harness in the car.

In reponse to your questions about using an obd1 harness I dont think that will work. your probably gonna need another obd2 harness to replace yours and then some injectors and a dizzy. Also a obd2a to obd1 if you wanna run a p30 or obd1.

Not sure if the GSR wire harness would work for your civic but what you needed was your old 96 EX wire harness. You'll have to convert the distributor to OBD2a but you can always rewire it. Umm... what else... Your obd1 harness will not work on your car. You need the OBD2a EX wire harness and everything should work. Not sure what you have to change around though on the JDM b16a motor. If you want to use your p30, you'll have to get jumper cables to convert the OBD2a ecu plugs to obd1. Give that a shot.

I'm pretty sure it would work. I'm actually using a 96 HX vtec wire harness and it works just fine. The ecu is also OBD1 and i'm running some jumpers cables. I think you might have to extend the vtec wires though, it might not reach the b16a vtec plugs.
