oil on spark plug sleeve

oil on spark plug sleeve
I am having misfiring problems with my 00 si. My car would start up one day and be fine and drive fine but then the next day it would start and sound like it wasn't running on all four cylinders and tapping the gas didn't do much. But after it would warm up it ran and drove fine.
So I put in the new plugs and wires tonight and found oil on the old spark plug sleeves from cylinder 1 and 3. After putting the new wires and plugs in it still did the same thing. I let it warm up and it ran and drove fine. But now I really don't know what to think.
?????

Re: oil on spark plug sleeve (Michler)
What exactly do you mean by the "sleeve"? Are you speaking of the area above the threads? The ceramic portion? If there is oil there, I would first check on the spark plug hole grommets. They're probably going bad, or even missing. Pop off the valve cover and take a look.
If there is oil on the threaded area and below, then I would start to worry that maybe the rings are starting to fail.

I haven't checked the codes yet, I have to do that at work. I have a header, intake, fuel pressure regulator [ used to have a vortec super charger ], suspension
