ECU GURU I NEED YOUR HELP!! OBD2B ECU & OBD1 MOTOR
Okay, I own a 2000 EM1 and I am currently running a JDM B16A FIRST GENERATION OBD1 MOTOR. My current ECU right now is an OBD1 but I'm going to be putting the P2T which is an OBD2B back on. I have heard that I'm going to need OBD1 to OBD2B jumper wire. Can someone confim that for me? And I also need to know what else im going to need to get the P2T to work with my 1st gen JDM B16A (OBD1). Thank you in advance eveyone!

If you never changed out the wire harness, you shouldn't have to use a jumper harness. The P2T ecu should plug right in. However, you will throw codes if you have the OBD1 swap in there, and the car will not run correctly.
I'm not a guru, but just throwing in some info. Are you trying to smog the car?

Exactly - once upon a time your P2T ECU plugged directly into your 2000 EM1 wire harness. If the wire harness isn't the same, then it won't plug in. How is the OBD1 ECU plugged in?? If you're using a conversion harness, you just don't use the conversion harness when plugging the P2T back in.
But to make sure you don't throw codes - well, pick up a Helms and start noting the differences. The CKF down by the oil pump, for example, needs to be swapped over.

Re: (EE_Chris)
Well, my car is a SALVAGE due to theft. And i believe the thieves that stole it strip that **** down to bare bone. So, the previous owner got it back and put everything back in. But he used a 1st GEn JDM B16 and OBD1 ECU. So both engine and ECU are OBD1 therefore he use the OBD1 harness

O.K., so I am assuming you want to smog the car and get it back to OBD2b. You'll need to change the engine harness back to one from a 99-00 SI. Secondly, you'll have to switch your distributor to an OBD2 as well. You'll need the OBD2b intake manifold, etc. I'm sure you can find an uncut SI engine harness here on H.T., or on Ebay for around $100-200.
If you're not worried about smog, leave it OBD1. You have more tuning potential that way.

Re: (209SpoonEK9)
Thank you for everyone's replay. I actually already fixed the problem. I bought a P2T and put that back on. I didn't notice how much FUKING POWER i was losing untill i put the stock ECU back on and its run'n like a CHAMP! BUUUUTTTT!!!!! for some freaking reason it got the check engine on. Maybe cuz my motor is a first generation JDM B16A which is a OBD1 and the ECU is a OBD2b? someone HELP!
EDIT: I found out the owner of the car never took out the OBD2B harness. He just bought a JUMPER wire from OBD2B to OBD1 ECU. But why is the check engine light on?

What CEL is it? Yes, OBD1 motors don't have all the sensors that OBD2 motors do - hence the CEL. It'll probably be for CKF...maybe 2nd O2 too.

Re: (JDM B16A)
The first gen B16 doesn't have a crank fluctuation sensor. You'll have to get the 99-00 oil pump and timing cover and then the sensor from any b-series 0bd2 engine and put it in. You may not have an EVAP purge either. All sensors have to b plugged in and working to not throw codes to pass smog. if they notice it a obd1 swap they fail you on site. maybe you get lucky.
