ust put my motor back in my car and im having a strange problem car will start up and idle for 10-15 seconds then it stalls out
car also stalls out whenever you give it gas

i have gotten the car to stay running and idle for about 20 mins but as soon as i touch the gas pedal she dies out
any ideas?

heres the setup
d16
forged internals
650cc injectors
gm 3 bar map
crome basemap(leaning towards the basemap being too rich and klilling it)

any suggestions

 

if you took it out for like an overhaul..make sure you hooked up all the sensors in the manifold. if you dont do all the sensors correctly or forget to hook one up. it will be a bitch and act all weird.im olmost sure is in your manifold sensors. i hope this helped a litle.vacum hoses are a big cause of idling rough and or stalling

 

pretty sure all my sensors are hooked up correctly im not throwing any codes and the motor pulls a great 22 inches of vaccum when it does idle

 

if there any questions youwanna ask me cuz i got a complete book on d16.im out of ideas but i still think is somewhere in your manifold.altho i couldbe wrong

 

ill go over all of them again and see whats up

 

try switching back to 240cc injectors

 

its a y8 if that matters

im begining to wonder if the injectors i got are not in fact 650cc

 

damn those are huge injectors for a small engine... lol i ran 440s on my JRSC gsr.. try changing injectors bro. if its not your sensors..

yup

 

i had 450cc injectors before and this setup is going to max those out easily

the motor is going to be making well over 300 when it actually runs lol

 

well its not running over 300 yet so try switching injectors... you gotta play thru the rules of fixing cars man SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND MONEY.... theres plenty of possibilities of a motor not running str8... good luck..

 

Make sure all of the ground wires are hooked up,and also if it doesnt smell like it's running rich, check the timing belt!
I've made the same mistake

 

someone sent me another map and i checkd that out and car runs now just very very rich

my guess is the other one had the timing way off

 

yo. did you ever fix the problem with your car running rich, and when you step on the gas, the car stalls and dies? i have the same problem right
