Default anyone know what could be wrong w/my car??????

its only happened once...i started up my car and left it on to warm up...when i came back a few minutes later my car shut off and my clock/stereo reset too...

its been happening to my friends car too...anyone ever experience this or know what might be wrong.???

Sounds like an ignition switch is heading 'south' in a hand basket. If you have more "shutoff" troubles replace the electrical part of the ignition switch

Check your battery cable, terminals etc

I would look over the switch also. Does it cut out when you drive sometimes?

I'm with the other two on this. Ignition swith, Or maybe the main relay. But I don't think the relay would make the radio lose it's constant hot.

naw...its only done it twice...the first time it did it i didnt think anything of it...i went to start my car and i notice all the stations and the clock reset...maybe a few more months aftter...it did it again...like i said above..but that hasn't happened in awhile...now its happening to my friends car...

If you come back and radio and clock are reset it's a battery issue and you need to look into this more. If it was a switch it wouldn't be resetting your clock and radio.
