Reconnected Ignition switch and is making a buzzing noise
I attempted to remount my ignition switch back onto the steering column after someone had attempted to steal the car and accidently got superglue into the switch. I had a locksmith fix the ignition switch and he was able to get it all out. I unplugged the negative battery cable before reconnecting the ignition switch. I reconnected the ignition switch and then the negative battery cable. But when I put the key in the ignition it started making a buzzing noise. I am not sure what I did wrong. It also felt like the ignition switch was getting a little hot. Any ideas?

Re: Reconnected Ignition switch and is making a buzzing noise
The buzzing was, it had a short or something so it sounded different. But I still don't know how to unlock the ignition. It is not a locked steering column because the ignition switch is not connected to it due to damage from theft. After having a locksmith look it over and giving me the ok on it I reconnected it, but still nothing. Is there some kind of trick to reconnecting the ignition switch??
