Side Restraint System
I have a 2000 Accord EX and the SRS (side restraint system) "idiot" light is on. Before I go spend five bazillion dollars at the dealership does anyone know if there is anything I can do to check the system? I'm not intrested in just disabling the light, especially if something is truly wrong.
Thanks,
Ryan

There is a YELLOW two pin connector in your drivers fusebox. (the only one like it) Pull that connector down and short the pins with a paperclip. Turn the ignition on and count the blinks. The long blinks are the 10's place and the fast blinks are the ones place so 3 long and 6 short would be code 36 or 3-6. Post that code here and we can help you further.
After ignition the light stayed on briefly, went out for a long pause, then lit for a second, went out for a second, then lit again and stayed on. I tried it twice and it did the same thing. I don't know if this means 1-1, 0-2, or 2-0. Hopefully you know.
Thanks for the help,
