Default engine light came on

alright i need some help. i've gone to 92lude.com and did what it said to get the code. but it just keeps on flashing. i counted up to like 53 single flashed which cant be right. they all looked short too. also what is the SRS red light flashing for above my rpm gauge? and what does SRS mean? the engine light flashes 3 times before the (what is solid) SRS light begains to flash. any help? thanx

the srs is the supplemental restraint system, airbags for short, i dont think that the srs would trigger the cel, so i imagine its two separate things go to autozone and they will pull the code for you

it flashes the code, pauses and then flashes, then pauses over and over.

ok well i went to autozone so they could pull the code and they said they wouldn't because my car is a 94. they only check 96 and above b/c they r 0bdII. so what i figured out was that most likely i'm gettting a code for my O2 sensor. it blinks once short and then waits 4 beats before blinking another short one. and it does this over and over and over. i watched it blink 53 times lol. so just how important is the O2 sensor cause autozone sells it for like $69 and the whole set up is $230 ish and well i dont have that money right now. so is it still ok to drive til i do have the money to fix it?

if it is your o2 sensor, it will just kill your gas mileage cause the computor wont be able to read it corectly so it might make your car run rich
