HAVE oil in piston...need help
Ok. ...I have a freshly build d16a6 and now there is oil in the piston...anyone have any clue what is the problem?? need help big time....and i can't seem to set the timing right...the white line, lines up to tcd, but when shot with timing gun the red mark reads around 3 degree...need help........
If you have oil in the piston, then i think i have bad news for you. The oil is probably getting past the piston rings which means that the person that built the engine didnt do a good job.
I would do a compression test to see what condition the engine is under.
My guess is that you will have bad compression. Next, do a leakage test to see how much air is going through the rings.

So oil has somehow penetrated the metal that the piston is made out of?? I'm just joking, I think I know what you mean. Do a compression check. It may not be rings. Valve seals being bad can also introduce oil into the combustion chamber.

Did you do a compression check yet? That is the first thing you need to do. Then do leakdown.
