'99 Civic Si CD Player in a CRX...searched
I'm pretty sure it's plug and play, but I want to verify for a buyer of my CD player. It's out of my '99 Civic Si. Are the plugs still the same?
At the very least, I can match up the plugs at the time of sale...but I would like to find out for sure so I can decide if I should post it for sale or if he can just take it. I haven't been able to meet with him yet..so if anyone has an idea at all, it would be helpful.
Good to see I am bringing up a new topic, hopefully this helps others.

yeah it should plug right in but some of the problems i had is that some stock honda stereo's have some dumb code you have to put in i got a couple and i tried to put them in my crx and it says enter code must be some security **** but yeah, good luck.

98+ is different..Just tell the person to buy <U>THIS</U> and splice/solder/heatshrink it into the crx harness..
I had one in mine. Go to best buy and tell them them the year of the doner car and the year of the car your putting it in. They will have a harness that will convert the plugs. I did this a few years ago before I sold my radio and it worked fine. As for the code you can call honda and tell them you lost your card that came with the radio and they will give it to you. You will have to read them some serial number off the radio so do this before you install it or you will be pissed. I did this several times two.
