Default No spark in Cylinder 3 after overheat?

I was driving home one day and noticed my temp guage went up. So i pulled over and noticed that there wasnt any coolant left in the radiator. Luckily I had a gallon of premix coolant in the trunk. So i poured it in and started the car up. Noticed the exhaust was coming out white smoke. And the car ran like ****. Felt like lost of compression. So i tried pulling the spark plug wires for each cylinder.

Cylinder 3 has no spark. What could the problem be? I know i need a new headgasket. But how can i get the spark back for cylinder 3. The rest of the cylinder have spark. Could it be that cylinder 3 is filled with water and therefore causing it to have no spark?

its suppose to be a light black or gray, but in your case it might be really white because of the water that got into the cylinder and it may have damaged the plug. just get some new plugs and check for spark on the heat shield or chassis, but compression in that cylinder may be gone because the head gasket may have blown on that cylinder

your plug wires may be fine, it might just be the plugs

also another thing is how do i removed the old gasket that melted on the block? I tried using head gasket remover from Kragen. It didnt work! I dont want to scrape it off. SCared of damaging the block.

replace the plug wires first, it's possible if you overheated it that you melted one to the poitn where it can't produce a good spark, don't forget, the plugs are all rubber, so if it's melted the wrong way, it'll insulate it to the point where it won't spark..
