Water in cylinder 3 spark plug....misfire...wtf
i have a 1998 Gsr and it started to misfire a little under partial and wot, we checked the code and it was 73 (misfire on cylinder 3). We did searching on here and it said that there is a possibility that the valve cover seal might be bad OR the spark plug wire boot seal might be bad. There was a little bit of water in just the cylinder 3 spark plug housing. We drained it out, cleared the code and took it out. It seemed fine for the first 5 miles and now its missing again with the same symptoms. We pulled the plug wires again and there was no water this time. I recently washed my engine, but i did have the spark plug cover on the valve cover. We pulled all the plugs and they are all brownish in color which is normal. Do you think the misfire could be due to the fact that somehow the third spark plug got messed up by the water even though there is no water in there anymore? Any suggestions, Im gonna go ahead and replace the plugs seeing as they need it, but what about the seals/gaskets? Anyone?

I would take out the plugs, wires, and take apart the dizzy and let everything air out. If it still happens then research more.

hey guys, its actually my integra that's been havin the problems..my cousin just posted for me. Today we took out the plugs and let the car sit in the sun for a while like vtecorona said and it seems to have worked for the most part..no more bogging. Tomorrow I'll let the dizzy sit out and throw in some new plugs just for my peace of mind. Thanks for all the help people
