Default weird stopping

Sup

When I step on the brakes pretty hard from 40mph the the steering wheel/tires start vibrating up and down. Anyone know why this could be happening?

Rotors would be my first guess.

and sometimes it stops to the side instead of in a straight line... could worn out shocks cause some of this?

Sounds like there is something wrong with with your brakes. If it was just the shaking, sure, warped rotors but the diving to a side thing is a little more worring. A new brake job might solve this. Try getting a free brake inspection, the pros might identify the problem.

Cheers and good luck

I would buy new rotors, or put good ones on there and see what happens, if it's still pulling, you may want to check the axles, make sure there's no tear in the boot, actually b4 u check the axles, a 4 wheel alignment would be in order so yeah

1. new rotors
2. 4 wheel alignment
3. check axles
