Default fixing a 95 ex crash

ok so i had a crash in my ex today and took off the bumper that was cracked. oppon removal there was a Black metal( bumper mounts to it in a way by lights) bar about the size of a 2 x 4 bent so i pulled it out with a rope but i was wondering if i could remove this and get a new one? also how do i take it out? i found 4 bolts but can take them out beacuse 2 are in a odd angle.

are you talking about the actual bumper?
I've never taken one off but I'm sure you can take it off and replace it with a new one
Is it making your bumper sit bad or what?

The part you're refering to is what we call a re-bar. Just remove the four bolts(you may need air) and it'll drop right off.

that would be your actual bumper, the plastic "bumper" is just the bumper cover as that adds no protection

as to your question, id pull it off and just replace it from a junkyard.

no its the bumper, the plastic/urethane most people call the bumper is actually called the bumper cover.

there shouldnt be anything covering them, therewould have been 2 plastic pieces (one on each side) covering one of the holes but those just pull out...

Look guys, I work at a body shop, the metal black bar is the bumper reinforcement bar (re-bar), the plastic piece is the bumper cover, and theres also usually an abosorber thats styrofoam(between the cover and the re-bar).

it doesnt matter if you work at a bodyshop, its the bumper cover or bumper face, and the beam underneath is the actual bumper/bumper beam

http://www.hondaautomotivepart...UMPER

by what your saying there are things that surround a non-existant piece on the front of the car...

Damn homie, try reading people's replies. It's BOLT on.

You don't need one. The purpose of that bar is to minimize $$$ damage on low speed collisions, typically driver's errors when parking.

ummm they are kinda important. They also connect at the ends of the wanna be frame. the rad support helps some but this also strengthens the front end of the frame.

Dude, you def should have the re-bar on there (kind of a safety issue) and it protects your radiator as well. Like doublejz said, the only thing behind it is the rad support, and its in your best interest to not damage that (costs more to repair).
