Gray box, under dash, wired near climate controls

Default Gray box, under dash, wired near climate controls

Alright I found this gray box under the dash, just chillin. The wiring harness ran with the climate control harness. What is this box and what did it used to do.

Thats fine then, I don't have AC anyway. Just as long as my heater works, I don't care.

Are you sure it isn't for the cruise control? Looks like the cruise control brain to me, but I could be wrong.

Its for the seatbelts, there was a post sometime ago about it. If my memory serves me right it has a inertia switch inside that controlls, when the seat belts lock up. Good thing you just Sniped it out huh?

That box contains the "brains" for the seat belt warning light/beeper and the door open light/beeper.

As for the intertia switch that locks the belts, I believe that is a mechanical system built into the belt rollers themselves...not electronic.
