Under the dash on the passenger side. It looks like an airbox of some sort? Just wondering what it is and what it does.

under the dash on the pass side from right to left is the Fan Blower motor, A/C evaporator and then it goes to feed all the heating ducts...it's all connected together

 

It is most likley the box that holds the A/C evaporator core. I think that is what it is called

Yes its the box with evaporator core. What exactly does it do? Does it effect heat as well as a/c?

a/c only...I removed the core and blocked the holes through the firewall where it came through...put the plastic box back in and the air just passes through the space rather than through the evap for a/c purposes. the path is essential for the functioning of the heater but you can pull out the evaporator

 

What is the "path" exactly sorry. I removed mine and of course it the box around the core cracked and broke so i have no heat. What did you plug the firewall with and what do i need to do to get my heat back?

you need to put that box back, and put duck tape where it cracked for now, and tape down the hole thats in the firewall...
