Default Opinions on axles.

Well, I have my B18C1 sitting on the engine stand. I'm about to start buying parts for my engine swap. One thing I need is axles. I'm going to be running about 200-220 hp after my bolt-ons. Would stock axles be fine for daily driving? I read that having LSD helps, which I have. So do I go with stock or get a decent set off the bat? Like I said, it will be my daily driver with occasional spirited driving. Any info is appreciated.

I/H/E, clutch, flywheel. The B18C1 JDM engine has 178hp, so after that i MAY be close to 200hp (not to the wheels) but in the future i may get more stuff, possibly upgrading the innards. I don't see me ever getting the engine over 220hp unless i add boost, then for sure i need an axle upgrade, that's why i used that number.

i think the stockers will be fine for your power levels
infact ive gave alot of axles alot of hell with a moderate amount of power and never had a problem

oh and the flywheel and clutch didnt give you horsepower
header=maybe 3
intake=maybe 2
exh.=maybe 2
so you are looking at 185 maybe at the crank
and you really dont need to worry about HP its torque you need to worry about and none of have that so......lol J/K

i know the clutch and flywheel doesnt add horsepower. i asked a simple question if 220hp is too much for stock axles. I don't see me ever getting more then 220 N/A even after internal engine upgrades. Thanks for the info.

I am sorry my origional post said what it said. Will this new revised post stop all the smart a$$ comments? H-T is ruthless...

Well, I have my B18C1 sitting on the engine stand. I'm about to start buying parts for my engine swap. One thing I need is axles. After i am totally done building my engine the most hp i can possibly see me having is 220hp. Will stock axles be ok with this much hp? I read that having LSD helps, which I have. So do I go with stock or get a decent set off the bat? Like I said, it will be my daily driver with occasional spirited driving. Any info is appreciated.
