axles to use for turbo set up?
I was wondering if I can get some opinions on this. I've got a 96 gsr and I'm running a basic turbonetics t/3 t/4 set up and I'm boosting between 8-10 lbs. The last time I had the car dyno'd I was at around 300hp. I want to know if stock axles are going to be able to last any significant amount of time, I did a rebuild and bought some more upgrades to hopefully achieve 400hp when its all said and done, or if I should just upgrade to an aftermarkt axle. I know that its not the amount of hp but that its the torque that usually breaks axles. Any help would be great.

the fidanzas were a ton cheaper than the DSS..
and they are exactly the same as DSS because they make them.

they look nothing like the picture.. here is what they look like.. taken from driveshaft shop.

When I was putting down a little over 400 hp I ran stock axles, and never had an issue.
When I was putting down little over 600 hp I switched to the gator HP axles. Again never had an issue...
They are for sale if anybody is interested. *shameless plug!

Thats all fine and dandy if you dont break them much, but somepeople break axles weekly and I dont know about you but I dont think I would want to spend the atleast 30 mins per side to change them every week
I say go with some DSS and not have to worry about them breaking

same here till i full throttle shifted.
if they last me the rest of the season, i will think about keeping them, but if not gone are they for DSS stage 5's.

yeah but who is gona daily drive 600whp on race gas, with 400whp on the street with an lsd, traction bar,he'll be alright if he takes it easy on them,i'll rather change them every few months then spend $1000 on axles that are all rated on hp.i have not seen a website rating there axles on torque yet.

come out of the burn out,
first gear, let the clutch out slowly,
where it starts to lurch, grab the ebrake.
and ride the clutch while holding back with the ebrake.
stage the car, with the ebrake with the clutch just starting to grab,
when the tree drops, let out the clutch and drop the ebrake the same time.
