top is oil feed...bottom is just a tap into the compressor housing that you could use to hook up your wastegate.

alright cool thanks!!! that helped me out a lot. . i was a little stumped. . . THANKS! but if i hook my wastegate up to that bottom picture where can the vaccuum lines hook up?
you can run the wastegate vacuum line directly to the turbo (like in the second pic), or you can run a vac line from another source (like the brake booster line) to the wastegate
tapping from the intake manifold (brake booster) as opposed to the turbo, gives you a more accurate boost control cuz the turbo reflects the pressure BEFORE the pressure drop in the intercooler

wastegates dont actually use vacuum, they use boost. so that nipple reads the boost right fom the compressor itself. as mentioned above, you can hook up the side port of the wastegate to the compressor hosuing or to any vacuum source (IM, brake booster, etc)

i prefer to run the wastegate fom the IM as well, but there are some that will argue that using the compressor housing is better. i forget why but i guess as long as you are reaching the proper boost level and its consistent than everything is good to go.

if you arent going to use that nipple for the wastegate then you will need to plug it. so either cap it or take it out and plug it. it should be 1/8 npt thread.
