hi i m putting together a turbo kit , and this is what i have
on the jdm f22b dohc

stealthmode feedline n homemade return line.
dsm manifold n turbo tdo05h that was previously on the car when i bought it
stock dsm downpipe 2' (i think maybe 2 1/4)
dsm smic or fmic -- when i come up with one

stock accord v-tec ecu
Super afc2
dsm 450cc injectors

I actually was recommended by a tuner that tunes supras n skylines from a local shop, he said that i shouldn't using a basemap chipped ECU, because those ecu is not made for my particular car, and could be far off of what should be running in my car, and suggesting getting a SAFC2 to dyno tune out of the stock ecu and recommended all the fuel upgrades-- pump,injector,fuel pressure regulator.. and so on. of course he highly recommended standalone unit, and all the highend parts, but i told him i m lowbudget and nuthing crazy.. he said he charges 150 an hour, and he will be able to finish less than an hour, unless something esles comes up.

So just need some of HT FI's opinion and input, by any means that dude was very knowledgeble and helpful and was not an *** trying to bullshit me, but i would like some help please. thnkx you all

the safc hack is old news and technology. with the standalones that are available now, it is pointless to not use one of those. you cannot mess with timming with the safc. get a good management system. it may be a little more money in tuning, but it will be much better in the long run.

what would u suggest rather ?

 

well since you are obd0 or so i am assuming, there is turboedit, which my friend larry is on, or you could convert to obd1 and there are a plethora of obd1 programs to choose from. hondata, crome, neptune, uberdata to name a few.

oh no its obd-1 ? but how do they tune it from that ecu ?

 

crome, uberdata, hondata. Search and you will receive.

i have already searched , but wanted to know does it have to have the
datalogging capability to get tuned ? or how do they tune off the ecu ?

i m getting confuse... as this point, just need some explaination ., thnkx

It doesn't need datalogging capability. I would say search for a tuner near you that tunes hondata, crome or uberdata. And see what they would like to tune with.

The tune the ecu with a rom editor.. one of the three above mentioned are pretty good.

i need a chipped ecu in order for a tuner to tune it, either hondata, crome uberdata, right? so by tuning it with rom editor, does it mean they edit the problem and burn a chip according to my vehicle ? how would they do any kind of reading for off the car? i think that's wherei m confuse.

sorry all the searchs i did was that he run a chipped ecu, then they take it to get it tuned, but what is the process and what do they use to get it tune ?

so what should i add on my part list ?
i know definitely boost n vaccum gauge
and what esle in order to get some great help for the tuner and
for myself.?/

Boost gauge, chipped ECU and find a competant tuner.

For a bonus you could buy a wideband ~ 300 but well worth it.
