I borrowed my friends Distributor and I still can't get the spark plug wires to spark!!

Even if the Ignition timing is off by 180 degrees, the spark plug wires will still spark right??

So now I think the igniter, is good in my distributor.

What else could cause for the car to not create a spark? I'm stumped.

 

is it possible that my ecu short circuited or something??

 

did u have all the wires in the right order?
it wont start if u have them in wrong order...

 

yeah its in order. EVEN if the wires are out of order, the wire will make SPARK at LEAST! I am getting NO SPARK whatesoever....

 

so everything has power except theres no spark??

 

Yep, engine cranks over, radio, everythign works fine. Just no spark. There IS fuel. But just no spark

I'm gonna try swapping ECUs and see whats up. Is there ANY way to diagnose the ECU to see if its malfunctioned?

 

Is it possible that the bigger CRV crank pulley overworked the alternator and fried something?

 

any CEL lights at all?
