Default 98 Prelude Master Window Problems

just bought a 98 Prelude but the master window switch wasnt working. mirrors dont work either. when i try and push down the passenger side window (on the master window switch) the window does not go down. but when i push down on the passenger window switch the passenger window does go down.

i just bought a used window switch and had it installed. the windows dont go down but the mirrors work. the passenger window switch works perfectly fine.

what could be the problem? i checked the fuses and they look fine

do you hear the window motor running as you push the switch for your driver's side window?

you might want to check the wires that connects to that motor
and use like a test light or a multi-meter to test if that switch is good or bad

I replaced my motor yesterday... it's called the window regulator - look up in parts

i dont hear the motor or anything. could the switch be bad if the mirrors work but the window doesnt? or could it be just the motor/regulator?

my window has been acting funny too.

The drivers side window sometimes will roll down (usually when the car is cool like in the morning or during the evening) But during the day when it is hot it wont roll down...my brother thinks something may have been cold-soldered and when it heats up it looses the connection...is that possible?
