Default noob: arc welding a t3 flange to a cast iron manifold

can i arc weld my t3 flange onto a cast iron manifold???i believe its made of mild steel...i dont care much about how it looks just as long as it stays put and doesnt crack...and what metals are compatible when arc welding it to cast iron???any help would be much appreciated thanks

yes it can be done but its not that easy really. You should use Nirod if you go this route.
