Default new battery and o2 sensor and now the car wont start.....

1993 Si - JDM H22A swap, bolt-ons....

once again, the car is out of commission... it's been sitting in the garage for 4 months for the winter. It had an Optima red top battery that didn't want to hold a charge anymore after 2 years so I bought a yellow top. Put the yellow top in, started it up, no problem! pulled it out of the garage and then halfway back in and cut it off. Jacked it up and installed a brand new Bosch 4 wire O2 sensor. Clean install, no problems, nothing ghetto or anything like that. Now the car won't start....

Yes, it cranks.
Yes, it has gas.
No, it isn't throwing a CEL.
No blown fuses that I could find.
Headlights and stereo still work fine.
Thought the battery might have fried the ignitor, swapped out the dizzy, still no dice...

any suggestions?

Maybe something wrong with your alternator?

have you tried putting the old O2 sensor back in? you may have accidentally f'd up the new one in installation..........i don't think that's going to cause the car not to crank, but it's a thought.

it can't be the o2 sensor, the car should start regardless of whether or not an o2 sensor is even plugged in...

alternator is brand new, replaced about a month before I put it away for the winter, so about 5 months total, only about 1000 miles of driving...

any other suggestions?

The optima red top battery isn't a deep cell.
Something could be wrong with your alternator - which was causing the battery to drain.

The yellow top battery is a deep cell (which allows a full drain and full charge basis ).

If something is wrong with the atlernator - the battery will be the primary source of power............

Does it crank slowly?........

Use a volt meter to check the battery voltage across the terminals. Then try to check starter draw.

ok so my friend Jordan and I just went and took another look. We busted out his books from UTI and looked over those... we're thinking either crank sensor or the ignitor (ICM) (keep in mind I've tried 2 distributors that I know work). We busted out the DSOM or some **** like that, a voltmeter I guess... I dunno... and here's what we found

No spark to any of the plugs
Plug Wires are fine
Coil pack is good
Coil wire is good
Fuses are all good
Timing is most likely off from when I swapped the dizzy but it should still spark regardless...
Shouldn't be the cap and rotor because those are hit or miss things and none of the plugs were getting spark...

The guy at Napa told us that Autozone will test ICM's, can anyone verify this?

Use your buddies dvom(digital volt ohm meter) and make sure your getting 12volts to the dizzy(2prong engine harness connector) from the should be yellow wire(its raining hard as **** so i cant go outside)
