I just bought this 87 prelude. It doesn't want to start when the motor is cold. I have to step on the gas pedal all the way down and then it will fire up, sputter and die. I do this about five times and then play catch with the idle as its falls I give more gas. Is this a common ailment? Once the motor warms up it starts fine though. It also idles at around 1300 rpm when warm. I also noticed after a long drive it continues to idle after being turned off. Again, any common problems that I can fix? Thanks.

any ideas?

 

I'm going to do tuneup tomorrow. New plugs, oil, filter, check cap/rotor. Sorry what is the obvious?
