Im over due for a timing belt replacement and my head gasket is leaking. I was suggested to port and polish the head since im gonna be replacing stuff. I want to buy cams too. What else should i do or can i do to my motor while still not messing with passing smog (Im in california)? oh, its a stock del sol b16a3 motor.

 

You can get a really nice JDM engine and harness for the same amount of dough you're planning on putting on that tired @ss block of yours.

If you are determined to keep the same block, go with a full port and polish, make sure they leave the combustion chambers alone, Skunk 2's and a 1 hole headgasket.....
