Ok , here is my question . I know that you can smog a JDM motor, but if has to be the year of the car and newer with all of the American smog equpiment. Now other then the stampings on the head is ther any other way to tell the year of the motor? I know the numbers on the block do not show up in the system but does the block information ? IE: production date ect?

 

actually there is a way to tell the year of the block by way of the serial number, but I'm not quite versed in the ways of it...

 

stamping on the head is all I can think of. sorry
