Default PRELUDE BRAKES ON A EG?

yeah, read in one of this months mags that the guy with the white hatch with all of the full race engineering stickers and the turbo k20......yall know the one. anyways, he put 95 prelude vtec front brakes on it and used accord calipers. anyone know the years/trim levels of these two and what else needs to be done to get these to work. kind of a budget big brake kit right? oh yeah, i have omni power coilovers, will these still work or do i have to buy something else? thanks later,

I think you need to have the lug holes on the rotor drilled to 4X100 since the prelude uses 4X114. I dont remember what caliper bracket you need or if the accord ones work since I dont have the setup myself. There was a thread a while back with install pics and everything that has to be modded in the stickies page. Its an old thread from 2002 or 2003 i think.

You can also do the legend discs with nsx calipers on your civic but thats not really as much of a budget setup since the nsx calipers will cost you some money, but its still well below the $1200-$1600 for a nice 15" or 16" Baer or other big brake kit.

couldnt you change the hubs and get the 4 by 114 bolt pattern b/c my rotas are universal, so im wondering if i could change JUST the hubs and calipers and rotors, or if i would have to do lower control arms and stuff. if i did that, wouldnt it change the coilovers i could use?

Why not just use GSR discs?

gsr and civic ex discs(i have and ex) are the same 10.2 inch rotors, but the prelude uses 11.3 inch rotors, kinda a budget big brake kit, just dont know for sure what i need.

The GSR discs are not the same size. We put them up to EX and they were slightly bigger.

My friend thought the same and put a GSR disc on one side and an EX disc on one side and when he braked the car would pull to the right (the side the GSR disc was on).

well i work at napa, and when i went to buy gsr discs, and compared the price to my stock ex discs, they definately came up with the same part number which means they are they same rotors. Either way i got drilled and slotted brembo's up front and bout to do the same to the back(gsr size of course). love those rotors, impossible to warp. BUT ANYWAYS, BACK TO MY ORIGINAL QUESTION, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO PUT PRELUDE BRAKES ON AN EG?
