reset ecu?
to restart the ecu have the car at full operation temp. turn off the car and take out the battery ground wire (or take out 7.5 backup fuse under the hood for hondas) for 5 mins. Put it back in place, start the car without touching anything electrical and let it sit for 5 more mins. Then turn the car off
Im not sure if this really helps, but i also do it everytime I install something. Can anyone clarify if it really does help?

AFAIK, the ECU sort of constantly retunes things. Removing the back up fuse resets any stored codes. Removing the battery ground totally rests the ECU to it's base parameters. If you do that, you must start the car with all electrical loads turned off, and let it idle without touching the throttle until the engine reaches operating temperature. That's the idle re-learn process.
hey guys i swaped a d15b7 on my 90 hatch but when i reach 15 it chokes and have to shift to 2 gear and it dose that 3,4 but when i reach 30 on 2 gear and 3 its when i reach 45mph what do u think it is. I think i have to do an idle relearn procedure.
im not sure if its a misfire but it chokes. I changed the comp on the car to see if it would change anything and i put an 89 comp on my 90 civic and the car took longer to choke now it chokes at 22 1st, 30 2ed, 45 3ed. so idk if it needs a rest on the ecu. please help!!. thanks
