I thought it would. Don't you use a vtec water pump when doing a LS/VTEC?

Water pump and timing belt should be matching. If you use LS pump and LS belt on a GSR it will work, and vice versa.

you use both because the vtec water pump is designed for higher rpm operation....the gear is larger so the timing belt spin the water pump slower so the water doesnt aerate, the ls water pump would cause this because its spins faster.

as far as the oil pumps go the 96+ oil pump are the same but the previous year are different because they are design to supply different amounts of pressure.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by PandaBear &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Water pump and timing belt should be matching. If you have a earlier model LS, and you use a 96 or newer oil pump, you will need the newer lower timing cover to match.
