Default 93 hatch help please

okay i have got my 93 hatch with d16z6 running now

it has a walbro fuel pump aslo.

The check engine light is on.

when you first start it, runs like its flooded, then give it gas and runs normal sounding but has jumpy idle.

It blows blue smoke at idle and when you rev it.

*NEW* I take off oil cap and smoke comes out of it, oil cap smells like gas.

It didnt blow blue smoke before.

Any suggestions, oil is not milky.

I know most people will say valve seals etc.. My question is can you give me a place to look on how to replace these things.

Thaks

Blue smoke means you're burning oil. Pull your spark plugs. If there is oil down where the plugs are, or your plugs are coated with oil, replace your valve cover gasket and spark plug seals. If not, you may have bad piston rings. Which probably means you are gonna have to replace or repair the engine. $$$.

okay, I got the engine light to go off, now the only problem left is the headlight dont come on, I checked fuses they are good. It has a accord head light conversion so I gues its the bulds or wiring.

But onto the motor, whenever I start it up when its been sitting for a bit it acts like it is flooded, I give it some gas and it goes to normal running.

It does this everytime I let it sit for a bit. It also is blowing a lil blue smoke when I rev it up.

A 'little' blue smoke doesn't mean anything is blown, but getting worn.... depends on ur definition of a little...ehehehe.

Get a compression and leak down test done at a mechanic to determine the engine's condition. The flooding could be a bunch of things... but get the injectors checked... if they are clogged up, they could be sticking open, puddling fuel. Also check your plugs for oil as suggested and after taking the car for a spin, check again... you can determine if ur running rich (burning too much gas) by reading the plugs. If u don't know how... do a search on the net... there are many sites that have the ''how to'' reading plugs.

Check your oil level...
does it seem like you are loosing it fast?
cylinder compression seems just fine.

Oil level is fine, it doesnt seem like it is losing any at all really.

I put new spark plugs in runs a lil better.

But it seems like its getting to much gas because its still doing the flooded thing just not as bad. Once it cranks over and starts it does the whole acting flooded, i give it gas and it finally clears itself out and it blows a puff of smoke out the back.

It however does lose antifreeze faster than normal, it is leaking barley from the bottom of the radiator hose. The hose is new I jusst think the way its on there its leaking a little i can tell from the concrete.

the iacv is missing the screen could this cause the idling problem? It doesnt start surging until its warmed up and im driving around.

also can a bad fpr, or fuel filter cause it to act like its flooded when i first start it

under the hood, find the fuse box in the corner, pull the two ecu fuses (marked on the cover), they are 15amp and 5 amp fuses I believe... pull both and wait for 5 mins, put them back in and start up... let the car warm up to operating temp.
