Default A few questions and my setup :D

howdles :D

i picked up a near new turbo kit for my b16a2 delsol very cheap (no its hand selected parts not ssasschrome niknak  )

kit has 440cc low imp injectors, colder nkg plugs, t3 garret/aireasarch turbo (compressor housing has .42 stamped onto the side, the exhaust housing has .48 stamped onto it). i have just ordered a stainless equal legnth manifold ramshorn style for it. it has all the othern iknak likei ntercoolers/chargepiping,downpipe etc.

any ideas when running that on 6psi how much hp i should be making and when it should be spinning up :? - or because the unit is small should i run slightly higer boost (seeming as its shifting less air? )

thats the turbo atm, it has a manual boost(bleed) valve fitted from inbetween the comp housing to the wastegate actuator. i had a play around with the unit last night and ran my digital compressor into the bleed valve and it popped the wastegate slightly open at 10.5psi, on the actuator itsself it threw it open at 28.5psi (but the actuator opened the vale all the way- with the bleed valve it just opened it about 2mm)

now i looked at the valve and with the actuator the valve was 2mm open :?. so i disconnected the grey rod and turned it in until it was level with the flap when it was closed (made the entire rod section thing shorter) so now it sits with the flap completly closed.

so im guessing that is just and ajustment rod, so where to i actully ajust the psi the wastegate opens at? do i have to turn/twist the white rod around to ajust the actuators final psi reading? i want it set as near to 6psi as possiable, i would rarther not use that bleed valve/boost controller as it will be my luck it jams and my turbo boosts superhigh and blows my engine apart

any advice or links to ajusting actuators psi will be helpfull :D

cheers

looks to me you have a MBC there too is that doing anything? and yes you can adjust the wg with that rod but now very much before the gate starts leaking and your spool time goes up

you mean that brass peice on the line to the actuator, yes thats a bleed style ajustable valve. its set to 10.5psi (i ran my compression pump to it) downside is it did not open the gate all the way (im guessing it started venting at 10psi and the rest bled out of the valve on the controller)

yha i have found that i can buy a high quality actuator for my t3 with a 6psi spring, collins and turbo techniks make them with ajustable rod legnth.

oh the trim on my turbo is 50trim. any guestimates as to when i should start to see boost using this turbo. tuning will be via hondata+widebnd on a laptop. also an educated guess to how much hp she is going to make, im aiming for 250hp (not wheel hp) with this setup.

cheers
