quick question before ordering a turbo

Default quick question before ordering a turbo

one of the options says i can get it with or without wastegate hole. I am going to be using a external tial 38mm wastegate. So I should I get the one with out, correct?

its a precision 3431

"This Entry Level unit features the following:
• 57mm inducer compressor wheel
• "E" compressor cover 3.0" inlet/2.0" outlet
• 57mm exducer T31, 76 trim turbine wheel
• Turbine housing options:
- T3 .48 or .63 A/R with 4 bolt discharge
- T3 .48 or .63 A/R with 5 bolt discharge (with or without wastegate hole)
• 360° journal bearing system"

Normally the external wastegate is mounted to the turbo manifold pre turbo. Assuming yours is setup this way (it should be) then no you don't need it

I would contact your manifold manufacture to see how your turbo kit is setup? Precision Turbo is also extremely knowledgeable and helpful on the phone as long as you know how your manifold is set up.

Most manifolds have the wastegate vbanded to the manifold.
