Default How to eliminate Crank fluctiation Sensor

This is for A 97 OBD2 Civic to OBD1 engine, this will work in other chassis also it will just be different wire colors but same concept.

All you need to do is wire it to the ckp from the dist. and you can just tap the ckf wires to the ckp wires at the ecu, you should have A wht/red wire from the ckf that needs to connect to the wht. wire from the ckp and the ckf blu/org wire goes to the blu. wire from the ckp...your just stealing the signal from the ckp sensor in the dist. you shouldn't need to cut any wires at the ecu just connect them together with A wire connector or solder them and this will elminate any cel's and will have no performance issues..

Damn it! Where were you 9 months ago with this info? I had to install a CKF, crank gear, and oil pump to pass an OBD2 emissions scan so there were no CELs. Huge pain in the a$$. LOL, great find!

I have an OBD2 (B16A5)engine and it needs to be replaced. I can only get OBD1 engines. Any special advice on how to go about this? I want to keep the original stock harness and ECU.

Thanks.
